Set up one or more email addresses for receiving CV’s and watch them join the Talisman queue where the CV has been converted to Talisman data automatically by the Burning Glass software and you can register the Candidate yourself or let Talisman do it automatically. Talisman will also tell you if the Candidate is already registered and update any changes. New Candidates can be on the system within minutes of sending in their CV and ready for searching and placement. The Holy Grail? A paperless, hands off solution with payback If you have thousands of contractors working for you each week then the prospect of converting hand written timesheets to payroll data is very tempting. We’re into pilot runs of this project with very favourable results. At present contractors fax in their signed timesheets which are entered direct from the fax image on-screen. They can then be printed out automatically with the invoice before being emailed as PDF documents to clients. Using Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR) software, Talisman translates hand written timesheets into real payroll data identifying the Contractor, Booking and hours worked. Talisman provides a “confidence” factor for each timesheet determining whether you let it go straight through to payroll or sight check (and correct if necessary).
