Talisman Overview

Talisman is made up of a number of modules which can be chosen individually so you can just choose what's best for your business. All modules are fully linked, no entering information more than once here. The modules are:

Front Office
- Client, Contact and Candidate Management
- Job processing, with Job Board integration
- CV parsing
- Integrated email, SMS texting
- Terrific shortlisting features for perms and contract placements
- Full temp management
- Placement/ Bookings can be entered in Front or Back Office
Back Office
- Timesheet Management
- Payroll
- Invoicing
- Sales Ledger with full Credit Control features
- Purchase and Nominal ledgers
Remote Access for
- Client Extranet - they can check their own invoices and see linked timesheets and reprint any documents
- Candidate Extranet - update CV or contact information and change availability
- Timesheet Extranet - timesheet entry by user or onsite co-ordinator with multiple levels of electronic signoff
- Job Site - apply for vacancies and attach CV or linked in to your existing site

technical stuff

Talisman is written using the latest internet technologies. The basis of the system is the LAMP framework - Linux, Apache, MySQL, Perl - running on a central server accessed by your web browser. All data is held in SQL friendly MySQL databases which means we can make available all of the reporting and analysis you need but it’s also a dream for exporting to corporate analysis or more simple tools such as spreadsheets – and if you have the time you can use the integrated Talisman reporting module to create your own reports. Talisman screens are controlled by custom style sheets (CSS) so your coporate colours and logo can easily be used. All menus, many of the screens and text labels can easily be changed by the user company which reflects the fact that it is a highly configurable product and Talisman users don't need to get us to make day to day changes. To preserve your security over the internet, we recommend you use a VPN (Virtual Private Network) but it’s simple to install and as a Linux product it's free!
